Two amazing artists, a beautiful location, treat yourself to this unique festival experience. Internationally renowned Bass Baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes will headline Opera in the Orchard.
In 2015 alone Teddy debuted the roles of Méphistophélès/Faust (Opera Australia, State Opera of South Australia and West Australian Opera), the title role in Sweeney Todd (Victorian State Opera), Beethoven 9 (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra), a new work written by Barry Humphries entitle Peter and Jack (Adelaide Cabaret Festival), Australia/NZ tour From Broadway to La Scala, Mozart Requiem (Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra) and Southern Cross Soloists.
Most recently, Tahu Rhodes has been honoured with a Green Room Award for Best Male Artist in a Leading Role for his performance of Don Giovanni for Opera Australia plus a MO Award (Operatic Performer of the Year).
Teddy will be joined by one of Australia’s finest lyric coloratura tenors Henry Choo whose concert profile is impressive and varied. Together they will present a Night of Opera in celebration of the festival’s 20th year. Set in the majestic Findon House Gardens, these two exceptional voices will enchant the audience.
