Telling our own stories in our own way
Write-ability supports people with disability in Victoria who want to write. If you identify yourself as a person with disability or as someone who experiences barriers as a result of your condition, then Write-ability is for you.
Through Write-ability you can develop your writing skills, make links to the local and wider writing community and learn about the publishing industry.
Participants can include, but aren't limited to, people with sensory or physical impairments, hidden impairments, ongoing medical conditions, intellectual impairments, or mental health conditions. Barriers include physical access, communication, discrimination or other people's attitudes.
People who identify as having disability can attend Write-ability events for free, as can their carers or companions. People who do not identify as having disability can attend some Write-ability events for a fee.
If you're interested in taking part - email writeability@writersvictoria.org.au
