“You can’t download this experience!”

NRAM LIVE is a showcase of young musicians from regional Australia with big dreams and bigger futures!

Featuring some of this country’s finest (and youngest) singer-songwriters, contemporary & jazz musicians and technical crew, Northern Rivers Academy of Music, the National Youth Jazz Academy, together with NRAM Studios and the Regional Youth & Performing Arts Foundation are putting its National Artist Development show on the road!

The stables of NRAM and NYJA have been one of Australia’s best kept secrets and helped launch numerous successful careers for young artists around the country through its critically acclaimed mentorship program.

“These young musicians, as young as 12, are nothing short of astonishing!...it is like listening to University trained professionals in smaller bodies…from amongst them will emerge some of Australia’s next big names!” says Canadian Artist Katherine Penfold.

The launch of NRAM Studios label in 2016 has added further opportunities for participants in the program which is also recruiting for its 2018 season.

“This is one of the finest line-ups we have put together” says the program founder and professional musician Wayne Robinson. “ The standard and determination to succeed at the highest level is up there with the best. It inspires me to see this, the next generation of Australian Music, pushing to re-ignite the live music scene but with a global view”.

For the first time, NRAM LIVE is also inviting a local act to appear as a guest at each performance through local schools who will nominate an act and participate in a workshop with NRAM mentors.

Since its April East Coast Tour with feature artist Amanauel Visser, the NRAM crew have been working on a documentary through the ABC and recently featured in Wangaratta and Falls Creek. NRAM LIVE recently launched the spring tour season in Mulwala and will be appearing in Geelong, Mooroopna, Leeton, Mildura, Broken Hill and Wagga Wagga during September. More details are available on the academy website www.nram.org.au.
