Arche is a compelling production that takes its inspiration primarily from an age-old classic, Swan Lake.

2017 marks the 10th anniversary for Melbourne Ballet Company.

Founded in 2007, the Melbourne Ballet Company (MBC) has established its own unique style of Ballet which is both innovative and exciting, while giving respect to classical technique.

Archè explores and embraces much of the original narrative and some of the classical repertoire. Director Simon Hoy has structured this work to reflect his unique choreographic style, including choreography by Tim Podesta and has linked this with a powerful musical score comprising music excerpts drawn from Tchaikovsky, Einaudi, Arnalds, Morricone, Jeanrenaud and Elgar.

Students will also have a unique opportunity to learn current MBC repertoire and experience new dance techniques with a range of masterclasses and workshops available prior to the performance.
