A showcase of our next generation of young musicians.

The SYIA was launched in 2011 to create a regional competition for new and aspiring musicians.

In addition to the prestige of winning an award in one of the instrument categories, young musicians benefit from competition and the potential to perform on the big stage in a gala concert at the Eastbank Centre in September.

The 2015 Shepparton Young Instrumentalists Award were a huge success and gave many students an opportunity for their talents to be recognized at a community level.

Sectional competitions will be held at the Eastbank Centre during the day on Sunday 18th September. Judges will then select competitors from the sectionals to perform at a Gala Concert that afternoon. They will subsequently award the ‘Best Performance’ of the SYIA which will attract a trophy, cash prize and further performance opportunities in 2017.
