The Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra return on Saturday 22 June to perform their annual concert at Riverlinks Eastbank.
The performance will present a wide variety of musical styles, including the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah and Strauss favourites such as Radetzky March, Tritsch Polka and the Thunder and Lightning Polka.
Manager Performing Arts and Conventions at Riverlinks, Ken Cameron says, “It is a pleasure to host the Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra each year. They are a fantastic avenue for showcasing the regions abundance of musical talent, whilst providing an entertaining evening.”
“The performance is great as it involves local musicians, with a range of musical tastes. Peter Read, Steven Sargant and Wendy Oakes will be leading the musicians,” said Mr Cameron.
Performers include the 2018 Shepparton Young Instrumentalists Award winner Liesl Parnell, choir 36 Degrees South and singers Felicity McCowan, Simon Oakes and Renee Rankin. As well as a performance from conductor Steven Sargant, with a movement from Hummel’s Trumpet Concertos.
