Over 1,300 school students from the Greater Shepparton region will soon have the opportunity to enjoy a stage adaption of one of Roald Dahl’s best known stories, The Twits.
The story is based on Mr and Mrs Twits, two of the most horrible people to ever live. They spend their days playing dirty tricks on each other. Mrs Twits puts worms in Mr Twits spaghetti and Mr Twits convinces Mrs Twit she has the shrinks.
Mr and Mrs Twits capture Muggle-Wump, a poor little monkey. Obsessed with getting Muggle-Wump to perform death defying stunts, Muggle-Wump and his friend Roly-Poly devise a plot to set the little monkey free and punish the Twits forever.
Manager Performing Arts and Conventions at Riverlinks, Ken Cameron says, “The Riverlinks education season is a great way to put on performances that schools and families enjoy. The Twits is based on the children’s story book by Roald Dahl, a playful and entertaining tale that encourages the creativity of young minds.”
Roald Dahl’s The Twits will be performed on Thursday 27 June at 10.30am and 1.00pm at Riverlinks Eastbank.
Tickets are available online or through the Riverlinks Box Office: 03 5832 9511.
